How to make natural beauty products for our skin
Natural homemade soaps and cleansers recipes
More and more it is considered how much more natural a product of beauty, the better. So much so that many consumers start making their own beauty products, in order to save money in addition to resorting to the natural.
Home Face Cleaner
- Put 2 large tablespoons of kaolin
- 1 tablespoon ground rice (wonderful exfoliating)
- 1 tablespoon ground almond
- Half tablespoon wheat flour
- Average almond oil
- 5 capsules of evening primrose oil
- And, finally, a little dried coconut.
Extend it until it is about 2.5 cm thick and roll it up; The idea is that we can cut slices when we need to exfoliate the skin (no more than once every two days). It will stay in the fridge for as long as we want.
We can make variations using an antiseptic herb such as thyme if you have a skin with grains, or fresh chopped fennel, which is very stimulating.
To make a good body scrub we can combine kaolin, glycerin, fresh pineapple (contains bromelaine enzyme that helps to remove dead skin cells), ground rice and some sweet almond oil.
Home Face Masks
Make an infusion of honeysuckle petals and lilies by pouring boiling water over them and let the mixture rest for half an hour.
Then add:
- 4 tablespoons infusion with 1 oats
- 1 of kaolin and another of glycerine.
Apply to face immediately and leave as long as you like. By increasing the amount of clay (kaolin) added, we will increase the stretch effect; On the other hand, if what we are looking for is hydration and softness, we will have to use almond oil and oats.
Home Moisturizers
Homemade moisturizers are not like those perfumed creams that we buy in stores. The versions we can make at home are a bit more basic and they range from crushing an avocado and putting it directly on the face, leaving algae like sea oak (Fucus vesiculosos) or kelp simmer for 10 minutes and then remove them And use the resulting botanical gel.
Another fantastic moisturizer can be made simply by putting a handful of oats in cold water and letting it rest for half an hour. Strain the oats squeezing well while we do, and we will have colloidal milk that we can apply directly with a cotton. Oats have all sorts of amazing properties, among which is the talent to soothe skin irritations.
Home Hair Products
We can use mayonnaise or olive oil as a conditioner for dry hair. Apply and wait about 10 minutes before washing with a normal shampoo.
We can also use eggs: spread two eggs beaten by the hair and then rinse with warm water.
We can also give the hair a special shine by rinsing it with beer, lemon juice or an infusion of nettles.
Bathroom Products
For a special bath, use a piece of muslin (or any other similar material) and put a couple of tablespoons of oats inside, tie it and put it in the bathtub while the water runs.
We can also add a spoonful of sodium bicarbonate before to soften the water and deodorize the skin.
In the muslin we can also add fresh herbs such as rosemary, sage, bay or thyme, or we could give a winter bath with many spices, putting a stick of cinnamon, some nails and a whole nutmeg.
