The manga Prince of Momochi House will end in August
The July edition of Kadokawa’s Asuka magazine revealed that the Momochi-san Chi no Ayakashi Ōji manga, created by Aya Shouoto, will end in the next edition of the magazine that will go on sale on August 24.
On April 24, volume 15 of the manga revealed that volume 16 that would come out in the fall season will be the final volume of the story, while Shouto via Twitter stated on November 2018 that the manga was reaching its final arch.
Shouoto released the manga in the Asuka magazine of Kadokawa publishing house on February 23, 2013. The manga inspired a drama CD in 2015 and a play in 2016. The drama CD starred KENN as Aoi Nanamori and Koji Yusa as Yukari, Yuuki Ono as Ise and Saki Fujita as Himari Momochi.
On his 16th birthday, Himari Momochi receives a letter that says he has inherited a mansion called “Home Momochi”. Having been raised in an orphanage, this mansion is the only thing left of her true family, so Himari doesn’t pay attention to rumors that the house is inhabited by demons. Upon entering, he meets Aoi Nanamori and his companions, Ise and Yukari, who warns him to leave the house but Himari ignores the warning and continues on his way.
But soon, she is attacked by a youkai and discovers that the house is in the space between the world of life and the spiritual realm. And even more surprising, he discovers that Aoi was chosen to be the guardian of the house, a position originally destined for Himari.
But this great position had a horrible price: Aoi can never leave the mansion, and its existence has been confined in the human world. So, ignoring the pleas for her to leave the mansion, Himari promises to help Aoi break the curse as she begins to live under the same roof as him.
